Solutions in the fight against Covid-19

TELEMEDICINE AND TELEMONITORING

Remote monitoring of patients in self-isolation

Sm@rtAlert

To tackle the coronavirus health emergency, the Sm@rtAlert system follows self-isolating patients with Covid-19 symptoms or who have been in contact with Covid-19 patients. The online dashboard telemonitors critical values such as temperature, cough and breathing difficulties.

The telephone channel

As well as putting the health workers in direct contact with the person called and prompting a reply, the advantage of a telephone call is that it makes use of the national telephone infrastructure (no risks of overloading the network) and does not require digital skills (useful for the elderly).

MASS AND TARGETED COMMUNICATIONS

Messaging to support health workers

Sm@rtContact

Health authorities and regions need rapid and certified communication with the staff working on the Covid-19 frontline: multichannel communication can make the difference.

Instant messaging, text messages and automatic voice calls to doctors, nurses and other health workers make for better management of the emergency. The communication can use mass or targeted messages.

"We urgently needed to resolve the long-standing problem of waiting lists. (…) we achieved important results straight away. An example is the Turin 1 local health district, where no less than 16,000 places were freed up, with savings of 800 thousand euros. And the trend kept up over the following years"
