altThese days IT is more and more "a company within the company" that has to provide competitive services to back up the company business. As a result, it becomes fundamental for a company to have processes and systems that can give an accurate evaluation of the value, costs, risks and performances of the services supplied by the IT department. All this uses standard technologies (SNMP) and an event correlation engine that can support both standard and user-defined rules. As a consequence, there can be an effective reduction in alarms and the causes underlying the problems can be rooted out before they arise.
